my go-to for Jamaican patties! i usually just do a pickup order, i don't believe i've actually ever sat inside but times i've picked up it seems pretty busy inside but they are so fast with their food and quality never fails. customer service is always top notch! my only complaint is when i first tried doing a togo order i wanted the Shrimp Po Boy, as it is an option for Online Ordering through the Yelp app and pictures of the menu with it on there- however, when arriving and talking with the server she was able to confirm they don't have the Shrimp Po Boys anymore just the catfish. This was unfortunate because the Po Boys were going to be the main reason we chose to do a ToGo here. we ended up settling (lack of better word) for the Jerk Chicken Sandwich, Chicken n Beef patties and Rice n Peas which always hit the spot! the sandwich could use some type of sauce to combat the thickness of the chicken tho. Unsure if business is unaware that the Shrimp Po Boy is still an option for online ordering but hopefully they can update so no one else has to drive 30mins just for them to not offer the Shrimp kind of makes me wonder what would've happened if we went ahead and placed our order like we initially intended ?

This place is cute as a button, fun and lively, with excellent food and drinks and friendly service. What more could you ask for?! Their menu is legit vegetarian-friendly with more than just one option and all clearly laid out. They have daily happy hour (weekly til 6, and I think late-night Fri/Sat?) which we arrived in time for on Monday and I think snagged the last table. Mac and cheese... collards... plantains... hush puppies... all were great. Catfish po'boy was perfect. Dark and Stormy was delicious. It was so much food and there's still more I want to try. Can't wait to go back!

Solid food and friendly service. Came here on a Friday night and ate with 3 friends. Glad we got here when we did because after 8 people started pouring in. It's a small establishment with a pretty big bar. I got the shrimp po boy and the mac n cheese. The po boy was pretty average and was a little light on shrimp but the mac n cheese was seasoned well and different from many other places. Rum punch was mediocre, atmosphere was good.

First time having dinner in Columbia City and I'm so glad we chose Island Soul! We had about a 15 minute wait but walked around since there is a lot to explore on this street. The time estimate was pretty accurate and we came back to a high top table in the bar. They were busy! This was already a sign to me that the food and drinks must be good. We visited on a Friday night. The bartender took our order and while he had a little bit of help with someone bringing out the food he took care of us, a full bar and a handful of other tables. He was amazing. Even though he was busy, he was engaging and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food and drinks were great. Everything we had was delicious. I can't wait to go back!
